Template — have legal counsel review before launch.
1. The service
EasyDataHost SL — NIF / EU VAT: ESB87347621, Avenida de la Industria 32, Alcobendas (Madrid), Spain — (“we”), operator of the BucketMigrator service, provides a managed migration service for object storage: we copy data from a customer-designated source to a customer-designated destination, with automatic retries, end-to-end checksum verification and a final audit report.
2. Pricing and billing
The service is billed per terabyte actually moved (decimal terabytes, 1 TB = 1000 GB) according to the marginal tiers published on the pricing page at the time of order, with a minimum charge of €400 per migration. Payment may be required in advance; where a prepaid balance is used, migrations are charged against that balance on the actual volume moved. An invoice is issued for each migration, always in EUR. Prices shown in USD are for reference only.
Egress fees are not included. Data-transfer (egress) charges applied by the source provider are billed by that provider directly to the customer’s own account and remain the customer’s sole responsibility.
2a. Welcome credit
New accounts may receive a promotional welcome credit (currently €20; $22 in USD reference pricing) applicable only to the customer’s first migration. One credit per customer and legal entity. The credit has no cash value, is neither transferable nor refundable, is consumed before any paid balance, and lapses when the account is closed. EasyDataHost SL may modify or withdraw this promotion for new registrations at any time, without affecting credits already granted.
3. Re-synchronizations
The price includes the complete first migration pass and delta re-synchronizations for one week after its completion. After this window, further synchronization runs are billed as new migrations at the then-current tariff (minimum charge applies).
4. Customer obligations
The customer warrants that it is entitled to move the data, provides correctly scoped credentials (read on source, write on destination), and keeps sufficient destination capacity and account limits. The customer remains responsible for the lawfulness of the data content.
4a. Cancellation and failure
If a migration fails for reasons attributable to us, nothing is charged for it. If the customer cancels a migration already in progress, the minimum charge (€400) applies and any amount beyond it is not charged. Partial migrations are charged on the volume actually moved, subject to the minimum.
5. Data handling
We do not store object contents. Transfer metadata (key names, sizes, checksums, timestamps) is retained as part of the audit report. Bucket credentials provided for a migration are handled exclusively in encrypted form (AES-256-GCM), decrypted only in memory to execute the job, and deleted on request when the job closes. Details in the privacy policy.
6. Liability
We are liable for damages caused by intent or gross negligence. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited to the fee paid for the affected migration. We do not delete source data; the source remains intact and authoritative until the customer’s cutover.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Place of jurisdiction: Madrid, Spain. Mandatory consumer protection rules remain unaffected.
