Cookie policy

The short version
This site works without tracking. We store a handful of functional preferences in your browser, and Google Analytics loads only if you opt in through the cookie banner — never by default.
What we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
bm-lang | Cookie | Remembers your explicit language choice so the root URL redirects correctly | 12 months |
bm-currency | localStorage | Remembers your EUR/USD display preference | Until deleted |
bm-consent | localStorage | Remembers your cookie-banner decision | Until deleted |
_ga, _ga_* | Cookie (Google Analytics, opt-in only) | Distinguishes visitors for aggregate usage statistics | Up to 2 years |
The bm-* entries are functional preferences, not tracking identifiers, and are never transmitted to third parties.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (opt-in only)
By default, no analytics runs. If you click “Allow analytics” in the banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to understand aggregate site usage. Google may process this data in the United States under the safeguards of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. More in Google’s privacy policy.
You can withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer (choose “Essential only”; Google Analytics cookies are removed and analytics stops loading) or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Third-party services
If the contact form is protected with Cloudflare Turnstile, Cloudflare sets technical, security-purpose state in the context of the challenge widget. It is used solely to distinguish humans from bots on form submission.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time. The site keeps working; only your saved preferences reset.
